New HS ASPE T10 and T20 Automated Tapping Machines: Performance, Safety, and Sustainability

April 2025

Following the arrival of the new SACMA machine – which you can read more about here – Gi Di Meccanica continues its path of innovation with the introduction of the new HS ASPE T10 and T20 automated tapping machines, specifically developed for internal threading of cold-formed components. These advanced models offer superior performance in terms of efficiency, safety and sustainability, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement of production processes.

Advanced technology for enhanced efficiency and safety

The new HS ASPE T10 and T20 tapping machines are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that optimize the production process and ensure a high level of safety. Key innovations include:

  • Screw hole detection using a dedicated sensor head, which reduces the risk of tool and machine breakage, leading to lower waste and operating costs;
  • Marposs system for real-time force monitoring. This function stops the machine in case of abnormal stress levels, preventing accidental damage and ensuring optimal processing conditions;
  • Soundproof cabin, which significantly reduces noise levels, creating a more comfortable work environment for operators.

Wide threading range to meet diverse requirements:

HS ASPE T10:

  • Roll tapping: M2 to M10;
  • Cut tapping: M2 to M12.

HS ASPE T20:

  • Roll tapping: M5 to M20;
  • Cut tapping: M5 to M24.

Sustainability and emissions reduction

The new tapping machines are equipped with the SC Energy and Monitoring Pack Industry 5.0 Keyence Unit, which enables real-time monitoring and management of energy consumption and operational efficiency. Thanks to integrated displays and dedicated software, detailed data on energy usage and CO₂ emissions can be collected, enabling in-depth analysis to optimize consumption and reduce the environmental footprint.

This innovation aligns perfectly with the principles of Industry 5.0, which promotes collaboration between human operators and smart machines to minimize waste and improve the sustainability of the production process.

The introduction of the HS ASPE T10 and T20 tapping machines represents a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, strengthening the quality and competitiveness of our production.
